A contemporary classic - The Hudson's simplicity is its strength. A design that works particularly well with more elaborate marbles, shown here in Arabescato.

Paul and the team at English Fireplaces helped design and install two new fireplaces in our home and we are absolutely delighted with the results. It has been an absolute pleasure working with English Fireplaces throughout – they (and their installers) are helpful, professional, patient and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would use them for any future fireplace needs!

I chose to purchase from you because you were the only company that I found that offered the “high end” style and quality that I wanted – far superior to other companies. I had a few questions and you made me feel that you could provide whatever I wanted (Love the personal approach that is so rare to find today). Ordering and delivery was a breeze. The fireplace has been installed and it looks amazing!

I found English Fireplaces on the internet and, as they were fairly local to us, we went down to see them. We had moved to a house with a very modern wood burner set in to the wall and we wanted to find a mantelpiece that would provide a surround and softening to the chimney breast. We looked round the showroom with Paul and he was very knowledgeable about the various designs and stone that we might consider. Tom came to our house and provided a design which was just what we needed. We now have a mantelpiece and slate surround which looks great and we are delighted. Working with English Fireplaces was a very satisfying experience.

What a thoroughly enjoyable process from start to finish. We found you on the internet and were thrilled you were local to us. The choice was excellent and when we described what we were looking for you were able to show us exactly what we had pictured. Very efficient communication and very quick delivery and professional installation by your recommended fitter. Thank you for everything

To ensure every fireplace is specified and installed correctly, we offer a complimentary site survey as part of our service.
Your survey is carried out by an experienced, qualified installer who will assess the space, confirm dimensions, review installation requirements and ensure the project complies with all relevant regulations. The visit will also enable a clear installation quotation to be prepared and an opportunity to meet the specialist who would oversee the installation, giving confidence that every detail has been considered before work begins.
Every fireplace is unique to the room it occupies. Whether you’re restoring a period property, designing a contemporary interior or creating something entirely bespoke, our Design Your Fireplace tool helps you explore the possibilities with confidence.
Experiment with different fire surrounds, baskets, inserts and stoves, and adjust dimensions to reflect your room and fireplace opening. It’s an easy way to compare styles, proportions and combinations, helping you refine your ideas before speaking with our experienced team.
Whether you’re choosing a fireplace for your own home or specifying one for a client, our Design Your Fireplace tool is the ideal place to begin. If you have any questions along the way, we’re always happy to offer expert guidance.
